Passwords

When your account was created you were issued an initial password. You should change this password as soon as possible to something that will be easy for you to remember.

  • FCNet passwords must be at least 6 characters long and cannot contain spaces.
  • Passwords must be different then the last 5 used.
  • Passwords are case sensitive. If you create a password with capital and lower case letters, you will need to type the password in the same way each time you log in.
  • It is not advisable to use your name, address or phone number; the word password, or any other widely known set of characters such as your license plate.

Student passwords are reset each semester. Staff will be prompted to change their password every 180 days. When this happens you will see a screen when you log in asking you to enter your old password once and a new password twice. When you have done this, you will receive a message on the screen telling you that the change was successful.
